1. Who we are
Dream Mobile Homes (“we”, “us”) sells shipping containers, container conversions and modular buildings. We are the data controller for personal data collected through dreammobilehomes.co.uk.

2. What we collect

3. Lawful basis
- Contract — processing an order, arranging delivery, handling returns.
- Legitimate interests — replying to enquiries, preventing fraud, improving the site. We balance this against your rights.
- Legal obligation — keeping tax and accounting records.
- Consent — marketing email, where you have opted in. You can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and we do not sell personal data. Recipients are:
- Hauliers and delivery contractors — name, address, phone and site access notes, so they can deliver.
- Payment providers — to take payment securely.
- Our manufacturer — specification details for made-to-order units. Personal data is limited to what the build requires.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are required by law.
5. International transfers
We operate from the United Kingdom, France and China, and our manufacturing partner is in China. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and we limit transfers to what is needed to build and ship your order.
6. How long we keep it
- Quote enquiries — up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Order and transaction records — 6 years, to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.
- Marketing consent records — until you withdraw consent, plus a short period to evidence the withdrawal.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you may request access to your data, correction of it, erasure, restriction or objection to processing, and portability. You can also withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
To exercise any of these, email sales@dreammobilehomes.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority in the EU. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
8. Cookies
We use cookies to keep the site working — your basket, your session and your saved theme preference. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to order data is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting your rights will be notified by email where we hold your address.
